Our baby boy decided to make his entrance into the world (a bit reluctantly) on January 27th. Ethan Phillip weighed about 8 lbs. 10 oz.! We are so happy to have him, but we're both going to need some time to adjust to each other I think. :) He is a sweet, sweet baby, but a bit on the fussy side. . . that may have something to do with a mother who is super busy caring for both him AND a crazy little 23 month old princess or maybe that he would just prefer a little quieter house to live in! Anyway, we're adjusting and we LOVE our new little guy.
Besides the inability to understand "Play quietly!", Yva is a great big sister. She has become more of a helper than I ever imagined a one-year-old could be. How blessed we are! She is a very quick learner and loves to "take care" of others, including her baby dolls. She continues to be a very friendly and loving child, and she is constantly making us cry with laughter.
As for family news, we are thrilled to get to see our niece and nephew from West Africa this month. They are here for a short visit and then will head home in a few weeks. We only wish we could have seen Erin's sister as well - Boy, do we miss her!!!
